VOKALGRUPPEN NOOR

The Vocal Ensemble NOOR is an a cappella group consisting of 10 singers under the leadership of Nini Julia Bang. We sing songs from all over the world, including Georgia, Corsica, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. Most of this unique music has been passed down from generation to generation for many hundreds of years, and it is with deep respect for the stories and people behind it that we, with our very own NOOR sound, let the songs live so we can be reminded about their power.

You can support us, as well as get access to exclusive events and concerts only for supporters, by donating as little as DKK 5 on our website.

UNNA

UNNA is a trio consisting of the singers Nini Julia Bang, Nanna Bech and Signe Rasmussen.

The word "unna" means 'love' in Old Norse and 'woman' in Germanic.

We sing old traditional songs and religious prayers from e.g. Bulgaria, Ukraine, Corsica and Georgia.

We sing concerts in churches and other beautiful acoustic venues as well as for events such as weddings and parties.

A THOUSAND TONGUES

"In six different languages, Nini traverses, is enveloped, and thrashes against a multi dimensional sonic landscape, offering herself as a vessel and resonating chamber in a dialogue of cross cultural expression, and diverse collaborations. Her multi dimensional voice has been described as haunting and heart wrenching."

The EP is inspired by my first solo performance, of the same title, which premiered at the Theatre Olympics, in Wroclaw, Poland, and has since toured to USA, Sweden and Iceland, being nominated for two Icelandic Theatre Awards in 2018 (GRÍMAN).

The EP was released on November 15th 2018, on the American label Source Material.
